Office Manager, Physical Therapist

Emily grew up in Tuscola, Texas, a small town just outside of Abilene in west Texas. From a young age Emily felt she wanted to have a career in healthcare and upon graduating high school she was ready to move to the big city to attended University of Texas at Austin. While working as a group fitness instructor with UT RecSports, she became passionate about helping people live fuller, more active lives. She became more interested in how the human body works and how physical rehabilitation plays a role in helping people live more pain free. 

Emily graduated in 2013 from The University of Texas with Bachelor in Exercise Science. Emily then pursued her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine. During her education she was able to gain experience in multiple rehabilitation settings throughout Texas and Oregon. These settings included skilled nursing, outpatient orthopedics and a specialized internship in women's health with emphasis in pelvic floor rehab. Emily graduated from USA in 2018 with high honors. Now she specializes Pelvic Floor Health, having attained her Certification of Achievement in Pelvic Health or Obstetric Physical Therapy (CAPP), A nationally accredited certification by the American Physical Therapy Association. Emily combines this specialized knowledge with her skilled manual therapy techniques to make sure all areas and dysfunctions are addressed and treated properly to assure appropriate healing and recovery. She is also Certified in Dry needling, including the pelvic floor, giving her extensive knowledge on using dry needles as a method for alleviating tissue dysfunction. She has an amazing ability to get patients better and know exactly what to do to get improvements fast!

In her free time Emily loves to hike the greenbelt with her dogs, Bailey and Kiki, and enjoying the outdoors in this great city.

Annalicia (Anna) Torres, PT, DPT, Cert DN

Physical Therapist

Annalicia is a licensed Physical Therapist who graduated from South College with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017. A native of Austin, Texas, she has enjoyed personal growth over the years, much like the city itself. Growing up, Annalicia participated in wrestling and martial arts, where her training led her to instruct individuals of all ages. These experiences profoundly shaped her understanding of the importance of both physical and mental discipline in the healing process, fostering a passion for helping others reach their goals through encouragement, education, and empathy. With over six years of experience in outpatient treatment settings, Annalicia specializes in return to sport, musculoskeletal dysfunction, fall prevention, and post-operative rehabilitation. Her approaches are rooted in evidence-based practice, and she utilizes her skills in dry needling and developing tailored exercise prescriptions to create personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique impairments. She is passionate about empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery through strength and conditioning while striving to foster a supportive environment that promotes healing and overall well-being. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting outside for sunshine and exercise, exploring her creativity with various mediums, and trying new restaurants or breweries.

Byron Massey PTA

Byron Massey, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Byron is a graduate of the Physical Therapist Assistant program at South University in Round Rock. Since graduating he has furthered his therapy skills with an Orthopedic Certification for Physical Therapist Assistants and Certification in Dry Needling.

He is a native Texan from Mesquite who moved to Austin in 2008. He was drawn to the PT world by a desire to serve others more and was intrigued by the opportunity to help people improve their quality of life through the rehabilitation process. He enjoys meeting new people in the clinic everyday and hearing their stories and making connections with them.

Before life in the therapy world, Byron served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps from 2000-2006 as a Signals Intelligence Operator stationed in Pensacola, FL, Ft. Huachuca, AZ, and Kaneohe Bay, HI. He always enjoys crossing paths with fellow Veterans.

When he’s not in the clinic, Byron can be found spending time with his wife and young son. He typically spends free time working on household projects, outdoor cooking, or exploring the Austin outdoors all over again through the eyes of his son. If he needs to get away, Byron goes fishing and camping, or heads to the mountains to snowboard or occasionally climb (poorly).

Jessica is our office assistant extraordinaire and the first person to greet you at Pro Motion Physical Therapy! She has always had a passion for helping others, her goal is is to educate each patient about insurances and each individual plan so there is never confusion or frustration about cost or bills. Her goal is to keep you informed so you can concentrate on getting better and getting the full benefit from PT without the worry of insurances. She truly cares about each patient and with Jessica behind the desk we know you will be greeted with understanding, compassion and excellent customer service!

In 2011, Jessica Graduated as a Medical Assistant from Virginia College of Austin and took Business office Management classes in 2012.  She has over 15 years of medical office experience and has been an integral member of our team in running our daily operations. 

In her spare time, Jessica loves spending time with her husband and children. She loves doing arts & crafts, DIY home decor and watching football... Especially the Dallas Cowboys.
