Pro Motion Physical Therapy
Austin's Premier Manual Therapy Clinic

ABOUT US

Pro Motion Physical Therapy was created in 2016 to meet the increasing need for specialized care in the south Austin area. As a small, privately owned PT clinic, we are committed to providing one-on-one care for each client without the use of techs or aids. Because of this unique dynamic, we are able to build strong client to therapist relationships with a focus on your unique goals, while creating a family-oriented atmosphere.

Our team of therapists offer an outstanding clinical experience for patients with orthopedic, neurological, women's and men's pelvic health, as well as vestibular dysfunctions. All of our therapists focus on Skilled Manual Therapy and offer the latest in physical therapy treatment protocols to ensure you recover at the fastest rate possible while in a comfortable professional environment.

Our goal at Pro Motion PT is to not only treat your pain and help you feel better, but also to make sure we address why you are in pain in the first place. During your therapy program you will remain with the same therapist who will update, modify and progress your treatment plan appropriately, allowing us to stand out from large-scale clinics where clients can get lost between practitioners and fall into a routine treatment protocol. With this philosophy we create the opportunity to faster recovery and provide you with the tools that will help prevent your symptoms from returning again in the future.

Dry Needling

Needling is mainly used to release trigger points, connective tissue disorders, and neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions. The use of needles stimulates a deeper healing process to decrease the resting tone of the muscle, allowing us to restore proper function and decrease pain.

Pelvic Floor

Pelvic floor PT involves evaluation and treatment of the pelvis, hips, lumbar spine, and muscles of the pelvic floor in both women and men. This specialization offers strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles and core stabilization to support the bowel, bladder, and the uterus.

Blood Flow Restriction

Blood flow restriction is a treatment wherein a cuff is used around either your arm or leg to prevent blood from leaving you limb, while allowing blood to enter. It allows the muscle to get stronger and increase muscle size while only using low resistance exercises.

TESTIMONIALS

For 6 weeks I suffered from nerve pain in my leg. I could not sit down for the pain it created. It was not anything I could manage, so I made an appointment with Dr. Taylor Speir. She worked through the problem to figure out what might have caused the problem and designed a number of stretches and exercise and in one week she helped make my life manageable again. I can tell it will probably take more time to eliminate the issue, I am thankful for the relief she was able to bring to a very painful situation.
